The supporters of Tshiozwi Anchors left the Gogobole grounds with sore hearts, after their 1-2 defeat against their elder brothers, Tshiozwi Dynamos, in their Administrator's League derby at Gogobole on Sunday.
Dynamos was out of touch throughout the first half and were lucky not concede any goals during the first 45 minutes. Mashudu Nengovhela of Dynamos disappointed his team's fans when he beat all the defenders, including the goal keeper, but missed the target.
A defender of Dynamos, Muhangwi Mukosi, was yellow-carded for rough tackling a few minutes later, but the scoreboard was still blank at the break.
The second half was war from the onset. Anchors started the half at a very fast pace, giving their opponents not a moment to breathe, and their midfielders distributed telling passes to the front runners.
Victor Mulaudzi of Anchors scored his team's goal after he had received a pre-cooked pass from Tovhowani Ramabulana. Velaphi Mphaphuli of Dynamos forced his way through the defence of the opponents and was brought down inside of the penalty area and the referee, Mr Mpfariseni Musekwa, pointed to the white spot. Dynamos' skipper, Musiwa Mutandari, equalised from the white spot.
Anchors side enjoyed most of the ball possession throughout the game, but it was not their day. Their keeper, Samson Masingi, was reduced to a mere spectator for the better part of the game, and he only came into the picture when Dominic Mafuleni scored Dynamos' second goal.
The two veteran players of Dynamos, Nyathi Netshiendeulu and Mashudu Nengovhela, were given red cards for second bookable offences late in the match.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
