Rockers FC were by far the better side in their MMK Administrators League match against FC KK, whom they crushed 3-0 at the Makwarela Stadium on Saturday.

Rockers’ centre forward, Azwithusi “Chiche” Khaukanani, was a marvel to watch throughout the game. He was unstoppable and he scored a hat trick in the game.

Realizing that the home side were all over them, KK started to play a physical game. They did not go far with their wrongdoings as the referee warned three of their key players with yellow cards within a short space of time. Lindelani Netshifhefhe was the first player to be booked. He tackled Unarine Kudzingana the rough way in the 17th minute.

Rockers opened their account in the 24th minute. Their scoring machine, Azwithusi Khaukanani, was on target after beating the offside trap. Khaukanani unleashed a ground cutter from the edge of the box. The keeper of KK, Andani Netshishivhe, watched helplessly as the ball hit the back of the net.

KK were reduced to 10 men in the 28th minute. Their holding midfielder, Lindelani Netshifhefhe, was given his marching orders for a late tackle on Rotondwa Kutame. Unarine Kudzungana of Rockers was also reprimanded with a card towards the end of the first half.

Rockers strengthened their midfield by replacing Vhugala Singo and Avhakholwi Khampha with Rabelani Nephawe and Dzudzanani Mahadulula early in the last half. Rockers increased the margin through Azwithusi Khaukanani in the 59th minute. He went loose from the right corner and beat the keeper with a half-volley from close range.

KK replaced Percy Mabasa with Alex Mahlaule in the 69th minute. The move was not good enough to stop Rockers from scoring the third goal. Khaukanani capitalized on the keeper’s clearing error to complete his hat trick.
