Back in action after suspension: Marks Munyai of Black Leopards.
Sport Date: 02 April 2015
It remains to be seen whether Royal Eagles will have enough strength to fly over Black Leopards when they meet in their National First Division League match at the Thohoyandou Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
It will be time for Black Leopards to exact revenge for the 0-1 defeat they suffered at the hands of Royal Eagles in their first-round league match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban five months ago.
Royal Eagles will be playing against a different Leopards, compared to the team they beat in their first-round match. The Thohoyandou outfit is still to lose a match this year. They won seven of the eight matches they had played this year and drew only one.
Leopards’ overlapping right back, Marks Munyai, will be available for selection tomorrow. Munyai watched their Nedbank last-16 game against Kaizer Chiefs from the grandstand as he was still on suspension after accumulating four yellow cards in their previous matches. If given a chance, Munyai will form a deadly combination with Harry Nyirenda and Dunga Munganga as Leopards' defence.
The Eagles' performance has been fluctuating in their recent matches.
Witbank Spurs will take on the pace setters, Lamontville Golden Arrows, in eMalahleni, while FC Cape Town will host Vasco da Gama at the NNK Rugby Stadium in their Cape Town derby. Baroka FC will undertake a journey to Phuthaditshaba in the Free State for their match against African Warriors.
Milano United and the Maluti FET College will meet at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town, and Highlandspark and Thanda Royal Zulu will battle it out at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa.
Sunday will see Jomo Cosmos play against Garankuwa United at the Vaal University of Technology Stadium. Cape Town All Stars will meet Santos at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town in the only match that will be played later this afternoon.
