Tshiozwi Dynamos rectified their previous mistakes and beat the struggling Maebane Young Eagles 1-0 in a Safa Vhembe MMK Administrators' League match at the Tshiozwi grounds on Sunday.

The game was characterized by wasted scoring opportunities. The Maebane team could have taken the lead in the eighth minute, but their centre forward, Mulalo Thovhei, fumbled with the ball at the goal mouth.

The Dynamos’ defence, which was marshalled by Thidziambi Mutandari and Mashudu Mbau, showed consistency throughout the game. They denied the strikers of Eagles numerous obvious goals. Matodzi Maruli of Dynamos was sent off with a red card for dangerous play and Dynamos played the last 65 minutes of the game with 10 men.

Pride Foromo made his presence felt in the 46th minute. He cleared the ball away from the goal line with his keeper, Phamelani Maluleke, already beaten.

The referee flashed a yellow card in the 66th minute and booked Lufuno Luvhengo of Eagles for a dangerous tackle on Velaphi Mphaphuli. The goal which earned Dynamos the important three points came in the 85th minute. Domenic Mafuleni found the net with a ground cutter, after a beautiful pass from Zane Mulaudzi.
