After losing all four their previous, Joe Express made a comeback and grabbed one point against Dynamos. They played to 2-2 draw in their ABC Motsepe League match at the Makwarela Stadium last Saturday.
Thembisani Nevhulamba scored the two goals for Joe Express, while Eric Chauke and Daniel Hlongwane scored for Dynamos. Express did not move even an inch on the log, although they managed to deposit a point into their league account last Saturday. They are still lying in the ninth spot with 30 points.
The unexpected happened at the Ephraim Mohale Stadium in Modimolle on Sunday. One of the league title chasers, Bellevue Winners Park, lost 0-1 to Modimolle Aces. Aces, who were fighting for survival from the beginning of the season, moved two steps up on the log. They are now out of the relegation zone.
On the other hand, the pace setters, Magezi FC, continued to pave their way up by beating Polokwane United 5-0 at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane. Magezi are sure of a place in the promotional play-offs that will be played later this month.
With only two matches remaining, Magezi are leading with 76 points, nine ahead of Bellevue Winners Park.
Other results are: Mighty FC 1, Lephalale Young Killers 0; A1 Terrors 2, The Dolphins 0; Bilika All Stars 3, Giyani Hotspurs 0; Winners Park 3, Great North FC 3.
