Arsenal FC beat Tshaulu Powerline 1-0 in their MTG and PIB Soccer Challenge match at the Makhuvha Stadium on Saturday.

Powerline made their first attempt in the 17th minute. Their fast forward, Rofhiwa Nekhavhambe, received a brilliant pass from Khuliso Libago and tried to force his way through the Arsenal defence. Mudzungwane blocked Nekhavhambe’s way and ultimately dispossessed him. Alson Baloyi of Powerline was booked for a late tackle on Khuliso Muofhe in the 24th minute. Unarine Ralukake of Powerline was lucky to escape with a verbal warning in the 28th minute after he tackled Rinae Goma from behind.

Arsenal's left flank, Khuthadzo Neswiswi, missed a fortune in the 38th minute. He dribbled past two Powerline defenders in a row and shot wide from close range.

The goal through which Arsenal booked a place in the semi-final of the competition came in the 57th minute. Khuliso Muofhe scored with a header, following a corner kick that was taken by Khuthadzo Neswiswi. Arsenal played defensive football for the remaining part of the game, with Powerline firing on all cylinders.
