Benny’s Care beat rivals Tshiozwi Dynamos 1-0 in a local MMK Administrators League match at Tshiozwi on Sunday.
Benny’s started at a fast pace, with the midfielders on fire and distributing telling passes to the strikers. They threatened to score in the early minutes when Zano Muleba forced his way through the defence of Dynamos before passing to Dembe Nepfumembe. His attempt missed the target by inches. Dynamos realised that Benny's were all over them and abandoned their positions and packed themselves at the far back.
Yende Munyadziwa of Benny’s scored the only goal of the match in the 34th minute. He unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box that beat the keeper of Dynamos, Vhuthuhawe Netshiomvani.
The second half saw Dynamos pressing hard in search of the equaliser. Murendeni Tshidada of Dynamos dribbled pas three defenders in a row but shot wide when left with only the keeper to beat.
Matodzi Maruli and Muhangwi Mukosi of Dynamos were cautioned with yellow cards for different infringements. Benny’s brought on Zwashu Malaka and Gerald Molokomme for Karabo Malebana and Dembe Nepfumembe respectively.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
