The Premier Soccer League has released the 2015/16 National First Division (NFD) fixtures.
The NFD will have four new faces in the new season. The first matches for the new season will be played over the weekend of 22 and 23 August. Mbombela United from Mpumalanga and Mthatha Bucks from the Eastern Cape were promoted from the ABC Motsepe Promotional League, while Moroka Swallows and Amazulu were relegated from the Absa Premiership.
Black Leopards will play their opening match at the Thohoyandou Stadium. They will host the Cape Town side, Milano United.
Leopards’ assistant coach, Mr Joel “The Prophet” Masutha, said that their aim was to start the new season on a high note, unlike in the previous two seasons when they gave away points to their opponents in their first five matches.
Amazulu will open the new season by hosting Witbank Spurs at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban. Amazulu recently tried in vain to purchase Absa Premiership status from Mpumalanga Black Aces after facing relegation from the Absa Premiership Division last season. Moroka Swallows will fly to Cape Town, where they will meet Cape Town All Stars at the Athlone Stadium.
FC Cape Town will meet African Warriors at the NNK Rugby Stadium in Cape Town. Royal Eagles will play against Highlandspark at the Makhulong Stadium in Thembisa, while Mbombela United will take on Thanda Royal Eagles.
