Mukondeni Two Bar Ladies FC were crowned the winners of the 2015 The Best FJR Soccer Tournament last Sunday.

They beat Real Madrid Ladies 4-2 in the final of the tournament at the Muswodi Sunrise grounds. The winner was determined through a penalty shoot-out as the scoreboard was still empty when the referee blew the final whistle.

Mukondeni Two Bar were presented with cash prize of R200, a soccer kit, a floating trophy and gold medals during a ceremony held at the grounds shortly after the final. The runners-up, Real Madrid Ladies, took home cash of R500 and silver medals. The two teams who lost in the semi-finals, Malale and Raliphaswa, were each given consolation prizes of R150.

Only one match was played in the netball category as there were only two teams registered for the tournament. Madimbo were crowned the champions after beating Matshena 19-16. Madimbo received R200, while Matshena took home R150.

In the only men’s match, Maravha FC beat Madimbo Chelsea 4-3. The winner was also determined through a penalty shoot-out as no goal was seen during the regulation time. Maravha received R900 and Madimbo R200.
