Black Leopards maintained their unbeaten record by collecting maximum league points away from home last weekend. They beat the newly promoted Mthatha Bucks 2-0 at the Mthatha Stadium in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.
Thembisani Nevhulamba and Morgan Shivambu scored Leopards’ goals to ensure that Bucks remain at the bottom of the log. Last Saturday’s goal was the second for Nevhulamba in three league matches. He joined Lidoda Duvha this season from Joe Express.
The Thohoyandou outfit moved from the third spot to the second on the log, following the impressive result. Apart from the fact that Leopards are still to lose a league match this season, they had not yet conceded a goal eitherl.
In their KZN derby at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban, Royal Eagles registered their first victory, by beating Amazulu 2-1. Royal Zulu’s goals came via Zukile Mkhize and Uhuru Mwambungu, while Amazulu’s solitary goal was registered in Mark Van Heerden’s name.
