The Come Together Soccer Challenge match between Muraleni United and Madombidzha Western Stars ended in 3-all draw.
The winner was determined by a penalty shoot-out and United won 7-5. The match was played at Muraleni on Saturday.
Stars would have scored at least three more goals, had it not been for acrobatic goalkeeping by United's keeper, Faith Ratombo. Godwin Mahuwa was a difficult man to mark. He eluded the Stars defence as he kept running from the start of the match.
Oscar Ramantswana of Stars scored after he received a good pass from Maanda Magoro. That was the only goal of the first half.
Melton Nembidzane of United equalised in the 56th minute. Against the run of play, he caught the opponent's keeper off guard. The goal acted as a catalyst for Stars. It was therefore not surprising when Maanda Magoro of Stars put his side ahead. He scored from 20 meters with a marvellous shot.
Stars cored their third gaol via Villa Thathaisa in the 60th minute. Phathutshedzo Livhalani of United then scored with a blistering shot that beat the Stars keeper. He completed his brace by scoring the equaliser late in the match.
