Phangaman ready for Netshavhutshedzi

Local boxing hero Norman “Phangaman” Tshisikhawe is hoping to be victorious in his light welter-weight bout over 10 rounds. He will be fighting against Humbulani Netshavhutshedzi from Gauteng at the Meropa Casino (today) Friday. The fight is scheduled to start at 18:30.

Tshisikhawe said that he was going to beat his opponent, probably by a TKO. He said that nothing could stop him from beating his opponent. Netshamutshedzi, on the other hand, said that his brother was in for a surprise, should he underestimate him.

Ten bouts will take place during the tournament. Four of the Vhembe boxers who will be trying their luck in the tournament are Tendani Munyai,Thizwilondi Nempandoni, Humbulani Netshamutshsedzi and Norman Tshisikhawe.

Tswarelo Motshoeneng from Limpopo and Tisetso Modisadise will be the first to enter the ring. Their junior fly-weight bout is scheduled over four rounds. It will be followed by the light-weight fight over four round between Oupa Mangena from Limpopo and Antony Maloisane of Gauteng.

Thizwilondi Nempandoni and Tendani Munyai, both from Vhembe, will exchange blows in their light feather-weight fight, which is scheduled over six rounds.

Clautus Mbele and Mxolisi Nombewu, both from Gauteng, will meet in the World Boxing Association’s international vacant bantam-weight title. Their fight is also scheduled over six rounds.
