Zamenkomste Liverpool hammered Manavhela Black Aces 4-0 in their Mazame soccer challenge match at Manavhela on Sunday.
The Liverpool playmaker, Ray Sikhitha, could not live up to his fans’ expectations and was tightly marked. Aces enjoyed more ball possession, but their promising moves were blocked by the defence of Liverpool.
Liverpool were cooling the ball down in the middle of the park, giving their opponents no chance to do as they pleased. Khakhu Tshilingai opened the score in the 16th minute after receiving a beautiful pass from Vuwani Tshidavhu. Liverpool's second goal came in the 35th minute, when Musandiwana Ntlemo dribbled past three Aces defenders and scored easily.
Aces got a chance, but their striker, Mpheli Mathelemusa, shot wide with only the keeper to beat.
Liverpool put matters beyond doubt when Kingsley Mulingwa scored his team's third goal in the 67th minute. Musandiwa Ntlemo completed his brace and hit the final nail into Aces’ coffin when he beat keeper Dineo Foromo hands down with a ground cutter.
The players who went into the referee’s book for different infrigments are Balo Musekwa and Mpho Khantshi of Liverpool and Khodani Masia and Tshilidzidzi Chabalala of Aces.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality.
