Manavhela Black Aces held Gogobole Bucs to a 1-all draw in their MMK Administrators league match played at the Gogobole grounds on Sunday.

Both sides played attacking football in the first half, making the match entertaining to watch. Bucs did not lose their fighting spirit, although two of their key players, Victor Mulaudzi and Lutendo Mabasa, were cautioned with yellow cards in the 18th and 20th minute respectively.

The wheel of fortune turned against Bucs in the 24th minute. Their defender, Tondani Madabeni, failed to stop the ball, and Sonnyboy Maemu of Aces scored easily. The technical staff for Bucs could not forgive him for the blunder and he gave way to Mulalo Lethole.

The local boys were led by their midfield linkman, Try Sebola. They raided the Aces’ danger area continuously, but Lady Luck was not on their side. They tried to walk the ball into the net, but the Aces' defence was rock solid.

In the second half, the Bucs introduced Elelwani Marubini for Gentro Mapusha. His introduction did not change the complexion of the match and the game finished without any more excitement. The equaliser for Bucs was scored by Victor Mulaudzi from a free kick. After the goal, Bucs regrouped and started to dictate terms.

The referee, Mr Leonard Vhengani, issued a red card to Petrus Mpebe of Aces for a second bookable ofence.
