Sport Date: 22 January 2016
It is expected that soccer lovers will stream to the Tshifulanani Stadium tomorrow afternoon (Saturday) for the ABC Motsepe League match between Joe Maweja FC and Bellevue Winners Park.
Winners Park must win the match at all cost in order to keep their title hopes alive. The Tzaneen side are currently lying in the fourth position with 18 points, seven behind the pace setters, Magezi FC.
Winners Park will regret it if they underestimate Joe Maweja. Maweja are still to lose a league match at home. The defence of Maweja, which is marshalled by their captain, Dakalo “DK” Ratshitanga, will have a mammoth task to stop the Winners Park dribbling wizard Velile “Mlungu” Mdaka.
In an interview, Ratshitanga warned Winners Park not to take them for granted, saying they have all what it takes to win the match.
The match of the week will be between Lephalale Young Killers and The Dolphins FC at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane. Young Killers and Dolphins are closely contesting the league title and are tied on 25 points each.
Polokwane United should regard themselves lucky if they manage to hold Magezi FC to a draw when they meet in Polokwane on Sunday. Great North FC will host Nkowankowa Barcelona at the Seshego Stadium. Great North must win the match in order to move out of the relegation zone.
Giyani Hotspurs will entertain A1 Terrors at the Giyani Stadium. Hotspurs will have nobody to blame but themselves if they fail to collect full points. Terrors are still to win a league match this season. Mighty FC will play against Mosesetjane All Stars in Polokwane, while Bilika All Stars and Gawula Classic will fight for league points at the Giyani Stadium.
