Out due to injury: Thivhavhudzi Ndou of Leopards.

Can Leopards collect points in Cape Town?

Sport  Date: 22 January 2016

It will be another busy weekend for the teams campaigning under the banner of the National First Division. Black Leopards will fly to Cape Town, where they will rub shoulders with FC Cape Town at the NNK Rugby Stadium.

Black Leopards seem to be going to Cape Town at the wrong time, if one takes into account the fact that FC Cape Town registered their third victory in a row when they beat Witbank Spurs last weekend.  Leopards will be minus four of their key players when they face FC Cape Town tomorrow. Three of their regular defenders, Thivhavhudzi Ndou, Marks Munyai and Jonathan King, together with striker Bongani Manana, are still nursing their injuries.

Manana left the pitch on a stretcher in their game against Royal Eagles at the Thohoyandou Stadium last Saturday.

It will, however, be a suicidal mistake for the Capetonians to underestimate Lidoda Duvha. The mood is good in the Leopards camp after they beat Royal Eagles 1-0 at home last weekend. Leopards must keep a watchful on Cape Town's top striker, Lucky Nguzana, who scored a brace against Witbank Spurs last weekend.

The struggling Moroka Swallows will host Amazulu at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg. Swallows lost 0-5 against Milano United last weekend. Swallows are finding it difficult to score after releasing their top striker, Siyabonga Nomvete, to Amazulu three weeks ago.

Witbank Spurs will host Santos at the Puma Rugby Stadium in eMalahleni, while Vasco da Gama will meet Thanda Royal Zulu at the Umhlathuze Sports Centre in Richards Bay.

The pace setters, Baroka FC, will entertain Mthatha Bucks at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane and Highlandspark will pay a visit to African Warriors at the Charles Mopedi Stadium in Phuthaditshaba. Royal Eagles will play in front of their home crowd when they host Mbombela United at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
