Several heavy fines were imposed on MMK Administrators clubs during the league's disciplinary committee meeting at Thohoyandou last Tuesday.
Mpheni Home Defenders, who assaulted a match official and caused the abandonment of their match against Tshikhwani Stone Breakers, were fined R6 000. Defenders also forfeited the points to Stone Breakers.
Khubvi Dangerous Darkies assaulted the referee in their match against Mukula Young Santos. They were also ordered to pay R6 000 and two of their players, M Ramatsea and B Muthubi, were suspended for six games. R3 000 of the fine was suspended and the club must pay R3 000 within 30 days. Santos recieved the three match points.
In a case relating to a match between Mahagala FC and Tshilongwe Young Bombers, Mahagala were found guilty of assaulting the referee and causing the abandonment of the match. They were were fined R5 000 and forfeited three points to Young Bombers.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
