Polokwane Academy to pay for Hotspurs’ defeat?

Sport  Date: 04 March 2016

After suffering a humiliating 1-6 defeat at the hands of Lephalale Young Killers at the Giyani Stadium last Saturday, Giyani Hotspurs are now faced with another tricky hurdle this weekend. They will undertake a journey to Polokwane where they will meet Polokwane Academy in their ABC Motsepe League match at the Polokwane Rugby Stadium tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

Polokwane Academy will be fighting like a wounded tiger after losing 1-3 to Joe Maweja at the Tshifulanani Stadium last weekend. Both Hotspurs and the Academy are vulnerable when it comes to relegation.

Great North will host title contenders The Dolphins at the Seshego Stadium. The Dolphins are currently in the third position with six points behind the pace setters, Magezi FC. Things are not going according to plan in the Great North camp this season. Their performance is deteriorating with time.

Lephalale Young Killers are almost sure of collecting maximum points this weekend. They will host Mighty FC at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane. The mood is good in the Young Killers’ camp after thrashing Hotspurs last weekend.

Mighty FC are fast becoming the league’s milk cow. They have managed to win only two of the 12 matches they had played to date. They are lying at the bottom of the log with 8 points only.

Bilika All Stars will be the visitors to Boyne Young Tigers at the Boyne Stadium in Polokwane and Polokwane United will entertain Gawula Classic at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Gawula must win the match in order to restore their lost pride after losing 1-3 Nkowankowa Barcelona at home last weekend.

Mosesetjane All Stars will play against Nkowankowa Barcelona at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen. Bellevue Winners Park will take on A1 Terrors at the Nkowankowa Stadium on Sunday.
