Maweja and Dolphins in Motsepe clash

Sport  Date: 18 March 2016

The fight for promotion and to escape relegation at the end of the season will continue among the affiliates for the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League this weekend. After beating Great North FC 3-0 at the Tshifulanani Stadium last Saturday, Joe Maweja will host The Dolphins FC at the same venue tomorrow afternoon.

The Dolphins are one of the close contenders for the league title. Maweja cannot be ruled out for promotion when taking into account the fact that they are in the eighth position with fewer matches played than the rest of the teams. Should they manage to collect the maximum points in their outstanding matches, Maweja will move to the third spot on the log.

Great North FC will host Giyani Hotspurs at Seshego. It will be time for Hotspurs to make a comeback after losing 0-2 to Magezi FC last Saturday. Bilika All Stars will be the visitors in their match against Polokwane Academy at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Lephalale Young Killers will entertain Gawula Classic in Polokwane.

Mosesetjane All Stars are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for their away fixture against Boyne Young Tigers. Young Tigers are tough to beat on their own home soil. The relegation candidates, A1 Terrors, will lock horns with Polokwane United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, while the Tzaneen derby between Nkowankowa Barcelona and Bellevue Winners Park will be played at the Nkowankowa Stadium.
