It remains to be seen whether Black Leopard can beat Milano United when they meet in their NFD match at the Blue Downs Stadium in Cape Town this evening. While things seem to be moving from bad to worse in the Leopards’ camp, Milano United are sharpened to kill.
The Cape Town side registered their eighth victory in a row last weekend when they beat African Warriors 2-0 in Phuthaditshaba. Milano are in the fourth spot on the log. On the other hand, Leopards have been lying in the ninth position for three months. Two of Leopards’ key players, Meshack Maphangule and Thivhavhudzi Ndou, will not be part of the team as are still serving suspensions after seeing red in their previous matches.
In the matches that will be played tomorrow, Witbank Spurs will host Amazulu in what is believed to be the match of the week. They will lock horns at the Puma Rugby Stadium. Spurs and Amazulu are close contenders for the league title.
Mbombela United will travel to Richards Bay where they will fight for league points with Thanda Royal Zulu. African Warriors will host Cape Town in Phuthaditshaba.
Mthatha Bucks and Vasco da Gama will battle it out in Cape Town. The pace setters, Baroka FC, will take on Santos at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. Moroka Swallows and Cape Town All Stars will meet at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday, while Highlandspark will visit Royal Eagles in Pietermaritzburg.
