Maebane Young Eagles beat Benny's Care 2-0 in their MMK Administrators League match at the Benny’s grounds on Sunday.

It was evident from the start that Eagles were going to collect full points as the hosts were outclassed in all departments. Eagles came close to scoring in the 14th minute. Chungu Sithelele held onto the ball for too long within the Benny’s danger area, until he lost possession. No goal had been scored yet when the referee, Mr Alert Mulabisano, blew his whistle for the end of the first half.

Early in the second half, Eagles introduced Nditsheni Sikhwari and Mulalo Thovhei for Lutendo Luvhengo and Dakalo Masha, and Benny’s responded by replacing Alfred Thema with Kaiso Mahlo. Eagles opened their account in the 75th minute. Their all-rounder, Nditsheni Sikhwari, was on target, following a neat pass from Livhuwani Sioga.

Eagles gained momentum with time. Their second goal came in the 84th minute. Nditsheni made no mistake after receiving a pre-cooked pass from Mulalo Thovhei to complete his brace.

Moses Rambau and Lutendo Ligidima of Eagles and Simon Makamu and Donald Nesidoni of the home team were cautioned with yellow cards for different infringements during the match.
