Joe Maweja ready to blast Mighty FC away

Sport  Date: 01 April 2016

After a break of 10 days, due to the Easter holidays, it will be business as usual for the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League this weekend.

Mighty FC will be lucky if they manage to hold Joe Maweja to a draw when they fight for points at the Tshifulanani Stadium tomorrow. Maweja are currently lying in the ninth spot with 23 points accumulated from 13 outings. They have played six matches fewer than the majority of the teams. Should they win all their outstanding matches, Maweja will move to the third spot on the log, thus posing a direct threat to the logleaders, Magezi FC.

The combination of Khuliso Netshaulu, Khumbudzo Muvhango and Takalani Ramagalela, the Maweja midfielders, will give the defence of Mighty a run for their money if given the chance. Things are moving from bad to worse in the camp of Mighty FC. They are lying in the second-last position on the log, following a string of poor results in the past months.

Giyani Hotspurs will host The Dolphins FC at the Giyani Stadium. The Dolphins must win the match in order to remain in the league-title race. They are in the third position.

Bilika All Stars will visit Great North FC at the Seshego Stadium. Great North are tough to beat on their own home soil and for that reason Bilika must be ready for war.

Polokwane Academy will play against Mosesetjane All Stars at the Pietersburg Rugby Fields and A1 Terrors will travel to Polokwane to honour their fixture against Lephalale Young Killers. They will play at the TT Cholo Stadium. Killers are in the second spot, while Terrors are languishing at the bottom of the log.

Boyne United and Bellevue Winners Park will test each other’s strength at the Boyne Stadium and Polokwane United will host Nkowankowa Barcelona at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
