Tshiozwi Dynamos beat Elim Mabedengwa 2-1 in their MMK Administrators League match at Tshiozwi on Saturday.
It was evident from the start that Dynamos were going to collect full points, as the hosts were outclassed in all departments. They opened their account in the 20th minute, when all-rounder Mpho Mavhandu was on target, following a neat pass from Thabelo Netshiendeulu.
The Elim side came close to scoring in the 54th minute. Fhulufhelo Mainganye held onto the ball for too long within the Dynamos’ danger area, until he lost possession. Mabedengwa did not lose hope, despite trailing by one goal. They initiated promising moves from behind but couldn't beat the defence.
Mpho Mavhandu completed his brace and Dynamos introduced Muhangwi Mukosi and Maligana Tshivhenga for Vhuthuhawe Netshiomvani and Martin Nengovhela respectively in the 67th minute.
Mabedengwa were awarded a free kick in the 35-meter area seven minutes later. Nicholus Maluleke scored from the set piece with a volley. Shortly thereafter, the referee flashed a yellow card. Nkateko Baloyi of Mabedengwa was warned for a late tackle on Veron Mphasha.
