Sixteen primary schools of the Mvudi Circuit received netball and soccer equipment from CTM in Thohoyandou, in conjunction with the Dream Fields Project, last Thursday.

The equipment will form part of an internal league programme in the Mvudi circuit and during the presentation, soccer and netball coaching courses were also held at Tshedza Comprehensive Primary School.

The managing director of Thohoyandou CTM, Mr Livingstone Simango, said that they were busy with a programme to encourage pupils from primary level to participate in sports. “We are also building sports fields to improve the facilities for the pupils,” said Simango.

According to him, they have organized a meeting with all schools included in the programme to discuss roll out and implementation of the programme and also visit schools to present schools with equipment.

The circuit manager for Mvudi Circuit, Ms Ndivhuwo Ramovha, said she was over the moon to learn that her circuit had been chosen for the programme, which she hoped would go a long way in grooming her pupils to become stars in soccer and netball. “We hope our relationship with CTM and the Dream Fields Project will help to ignite interest in our young people to participate in sport,” said Ramovha.
