Maweja ready to thump Giyani Hotspurs

The struggle for league points will continue among the teams affiliated to the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League this weekend. Residents of Tshifulanani and the surrounding areas will be able to support their favourite team, Joe Maweja, at home.

They will host Giyani Hotspurs at the Tshifulanani Stadium tomorrow afternoon. Maweja are in a good state of mind after collecting the maximum points in their match last weekend. They unexpectedly rose to the occasion and beat the much-feared Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) 1-0 at the Tshifulanani Stadium last Saturday.

Maweja must win the match in order to remain on the safe side when it comes to relegation. The pace setters, Bellevue Winners Park, will travel to Polokwane where they will fight for league points with Molemole Academy at the Nirvana Stadium. Molemole Academy gave away points to Mokopane Ratanang last weekend, following their 1-2 defeat.

Mokopane Ratanang are preparing to face A1 Terrors at the Mahwelereng Stadium, while the Polokwane derby between Mighty FC and Polokwane United will be staged at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium. TTM will undertake a journey to Polokwane, where they will lock horns with Great North FC at the Seshego Stadium.

Madridtas will play against Polokwane Academy at the Polokwane Rugby Fields. Gawula Classic will enjoy the home-ground advantage in their match against The Dolphins.  The players to watch in the weekend's matches are: Omphulusa Masotsha and Khumbudzo Muvhango (Maweja), Mulisa Luvhengo and Rendani Mukomafhedi (TTM) and Lutendo Mulaudzi and Danger Netshiungani (Madridtas).
