Last weekend was an ugly one for one of the Vhembe-based ABC Motsepe League sides, Madridtas FC. They lost 1-2 against Great North FC at the Tshifudi Stadium on Saturday.

George Kgare and Freddy Mankwe scored for the visitors from Polokwane, while Madridtas’s solitary goal came via Pfunzo Tshikotshi.

Great North moved to the second spot on the log, following the victory. They have 34 points in hand, 8 behind The Dolphins FC.

Joe Maweja are still in shock, after their 0-4 defeat at the hands of Ditlou FC at the Jane Furse Stadium in Sekhukhune. Joe Maweja are still rooted at the bottom of the log with 11 points from 18 outings.

In their see-saw game at the TT Cholo Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday, Magezi emerged the 3-2 victors over Mighty FC. Magezi were leading 2-0 at one stage, but Mighty made amends as the game progressed and snatched two beautiful goals through Eric Seabe and Jack Masingi. Magezi scored the winning goal in the dying minutes of the game.

After donating points to Mighty FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium two weeks ago, Ndengeza FC rose to the occasion and crushed Molemole Academy 5-2 at the Giyani Stadium. Ndengeza are still in the sixth position on the log. In their Polokwane derby at the Ngoana Mahube Stadium, Baroka FC played to a 2-2 draw with Boyne Young Tigers.

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila are still battling to come to terms with the 0-6 defeat they suffered at the hands of The Dolphins FC. Mikhado FC collected one point in their match against Polokwane United at the Rabali Stadium when they played to a 1-1 draw.

Giyani Hotspurs shared the spoils with Polokwane Academy, following their goalless draw at the Polokwane Rugby Stadium.
