Makhitha Oscar Stars beat Maebane Young Eagles 4-1 in their MMK Administrators league match at Makhitha on Sunday.

Eagles were out of touch from the onset, and Stars opened their account in the 12th minute. Rofhiwa Mabila beat the offside trap and the lone keeper, Mahlatse Marakalala.

Eagles continued to make silly mistakes within their own half. That gave Stars ample time to invade the territory of the Eagles. Stars' keeper, Thanayani Netshipale, got injured when he collided with a striker of Eagles, Humbulani Managa. Etafia Ratombo then changed his postion and became the keeper for the rest of the match.

The Eagles pulled one back in the 34th minute when Mulalo Thovhei converted a penalty. Stars continued to press hard in search of more goals after the Eagles' goal, but their strikers were unlucky.

Takalani Mbekwa caused a stir in the 39th minute. He received a good pass from Maanda Malumedzha and shot wide from close range. At that stage, the Eagles’ keeper, Mahlatse Marakalala, was already beaten.

Eagles lost shape in the middle of the park and they were severely punished for that. In the 64th minute, Stars scored their third goal. Leavy Matshavha was on target after receiving a neat pass from Nthabiseng Makgopo.

Stars created numerous chances late in the game, but they managed to convert their fourth goal through Rofhiwa Mabila in the dying minutes.
