United Artists too strong for Dididi

The MMK Administrators Soccer League Stream A log leaders, United Artists, kept their title hopes alive by crushing Dididi Manguvhewa 5-0 at the Makhuvha Stadium on Sunday.

The visitors from Dididi village looked hopeless from the onset. The hosts capitalized and scored three beautiful goals in the first half. Artists’ left back, Mulisa “Scara” Luvhengo was a marvel to watch. Luvhengo scored a hat trick in the game.

The Artists’ opening goal came in the 14th minute. Mulisa Luvhengo forced his way through the defence of Dididi and blasted in a rocket from the edge of the box. As if they were leading, the players of Dididi abandoned their positions and packed themselves at the far back.

Artists increased the margin in the 27th minute. Their dribbling wizard, Emmanuel Murwamadala, made no mistake after receiving a neat pass from Khathutshelo Mashavhathakha. The only time Dididi threatened to score in the first half was when Mashudu Maemu tried his luck from the 25-metre area. The ball missed the target by inches, much to the fans’ disappointment. Artists’ third goal was scored when Lavhelesani “Zizo” Mukomafhedzi hit the target with a ground cutter in the 39th minute.

Artists replaced Khathutshelo Mashavhathakha with Thanzi Muruge nine minutes into the last half. Muruge formed a deadly combination with Walter Nechimbulu and Emmanuel Neswiswi at the forefront.

Artists increased the margin through Mulisa Luvhengo. He beat the keeper with a half volley. Mulisa Luvhengo completed his hat trick with a ground cutter seven minutes before the final whistle.
