TTM are not for sale, says Mulaudzi.

The owner of the Limpopo-based team competing in the National First Division, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) has denied rumours that the team is up for sale.

TTM made the headlines on a few occasions since October last year for struggling to pay its players and technical staff. The matter was reported to the Premier Soccer League’s dispute resolution chamber.

The team boss, Mr Masala Mulaudzi, bought the National First Division status from Milano last year around July. He was adamant that TTM was not going anywhere. “I would like to advise our supporters and the people of Limpopo that there is no truth in those media reports,” said Mulaudzi.

It has been reported in the media over the past few weeks that a Mpumalanga-based team, Acornbush United, were poised to buy TTM outright or buy a stake in the club.

“The allegations are creating a bad image for our club, because we can’t even negotiate with any company for a sponsorship as part of our preparations for the next soccer season,” said Mulaudzi.

“I have approached various companies the past few weeks for sponsorship, but the first question asked is why I am looking for a financial backing when the club is up for sale. How can I sell the club while at the same time playing well in the league in the first year?” asked Mulaudzi.

Mulaudzi said that he had been running the team without any financial assistance. “I have been spending sleepless nights to assemble a formidable side that will make our supporters and the people of Limpopo in general proud to be associated with TTM,” he said.
