After losing two league matches in a row, Black Leopards will play their next league fixture at home, at the Thohoyandou Stadium. They will host the newly promoted Benoni Premier United tomorrow evening, starting at 20:00.
Things are not moving as planned in the Leopards camp. They have won only one of the five matches they have played to date. The only time the local lads managed to collect the maximum points was when they beat Moroka Swallows 2-0 in their opening fixture. They then drew against Silver Stars and Maritzburg United before donating points to Ajax Cape Town and Jomo Cosmos.
In an interview with Mirror early this week, the brand manager of the club, Mr Tshifhiwa Thidiela, partly blamed the team’s coach for the poor results. He said that the team’s coach, Mr Bibey Mutombo, seems to have a divided interest, after his appointment as the assistant coach for his country’s national team. Mutombo is a resident of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In the other Castle Premiership League matches that will be played tomorrow, Kaizer Chiefs will host Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. The match will be shown live on television.
Supersport United will battle it out for league points with the current logleaders, Silver Stars, at the Super Stadium in Pretoria. Maritzburg United will play against Amazulu at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Durban. The only match that will be played this evening will between Bidvest Wits and Lamontville Golden Arrows. It will be played at the Bidvest Stadium in Johannesburg.
Two matches will be played on Sunday. Bloemfontein Celtic will host Ajax Cape Town at the Seisa Ramabodo Stadium in Bloemfontein, while Moroka Swallows and Jomo Cosmos will meet at the Germiston Stadium.
