Décor Mukoma destroys Sea Robbers

Berea FC are gearing up for the final of the SAFA MMK Administrators champ of champs competition.

This follows their 2-1 victory over Wayeni Sea Robbers in their semifinal match at the Makhuvha Stadium on Sunday. The captain of Berea, Pfariso “Décor” Mukoma, scored a brace. Mukoma played as a full striker in the first half before moving back to solidify his line of defence in the last half.

Berea enjoyed ball possession in the first half, but their original stamina vanished towards the end of the game. Realizing that it was difficult for them to match their opponents, Sea Robbers started to demonstrate their rough skills as a way to neutralize Berea. The referee refused to see any of the wrongdoers go unpunished. He flashed three yellow cards in quick succession.

The team from the Niani area took the lead in the 24th minute. Pfariso Mukoma hooked in the ball, following square pass from Elias Ranyaoa. Berea continued to dominate proceedings, with Sea Robbers chasing the action. Mukoma completed his brace in the 38th minute. He tried his luck with a long-range volley. The keeper of Sea Robbers, Nhlamulo Khurumedzha, watched helplessly as the ball went beyond his reach.

Berea effected the first change to their starting line-up five minutes towards the end of the first half. Rophuluswa Mavhungu was replaced with Edwin Ramphabana.

Robbers used all their substitution chances in the last half. They pulled one back in the 67th minute. Foster Baloyi blasted in a rocket, following scramble within the box. Berea applied delaying tactics in the last 20 minutes of the game.
