The managers of the teams that will participate in the Hollywoodbets pre-season cup 2018 at the Mabaleng Sports Centre on Saturday and Sunday.

Soccer teams vie for pre-season cup

Eight soccer teams will participate in the Hollywoodbets Pre-Season Cup that is being hosted by Mamu Community Development.

The matches will take place at the Mabaleng Sports Centre at Tshiozwi village tomorrow (Saturday). The fixtures are: Makhitha Oscar Stars vs Mulima (11:00), Messina United vs Masakona United (13:00), Zamenkomste Liverpool vs Mpheni Home Defenders (15:00) and Messina All Stars vs Maelula United.

The semi-final and final matches will take place on Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00 at the Mabaleng Sports Centre.

Hollywoodbets' branch operation consultant, Mr Wayde Dorkin, said they were proud to be a part of the exciting initiative that Mamu Community Development was running. “We are always looking to provide exciting sporting platforms to local communities,” he said. “Thanks to Mamu Community Development for giving us this great opportunity to help local SAB clubs and players.”

The event is sponsored by Hollywoodbets, Premjee & Sons Cash and Carry, Talisman Hire, Mikasa, KFC and ADD Hope, Collins Sebola Inc, CS Security, Soutpansberg Koelkamers, Kiwi Kafe & Takeaways, Tradepost 2076cc and Afrox, Nkoli Enterprise (Pty) Ltd, Ndou's Cab, Mathivha Brickyard and Sand, Leach Printers, Butali Financial Services, and Phadziri & Son Bus Service.

The champions will be awarded R15 000, a soccer kit, training material, 30 gold medals and a trophy. The first runner-up team will get R10 000 and a soccer kit. The teams that finish in third and fourth position will receive R2 000 each and the last three teams will receive R750 each.
