Time is running out for Black Leopards

Sport  Date: 02 February 2007

Black Leopards are quickly becoming a sure bet for relegation following their unimpressive performance in their last four matches from which they managed to collect only one point. They lost 1-2 to Santos, 0-2 to Orlando Pirates (twice in a row) and drew 0-0 with Silver Stars.

Lidoda duvha will travel to the Mehlareng Stadium in Johannesburg to honour their Castle Premiership League fixture against Benoni Premier United on Sunday. The Thohoyandou outfit must win the match at all cost in order to keep their hopes for escaping the chop alive.

Leopards lost 1-2 to Premier United in their first-round fixture that was played at the Thohoyandou Stadium four months ago. United are on the safe side on the log as they are currently lying in 11th position. The match will start at 15:45 and will be shown live on television.

In the other Castle Premiership League matches that will be played this weekend, Ajax Cape Town will host Bloemfontein Celtic at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. The match of the week will be between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The match will be played at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria. Orlando Pirates will host Santos at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg. Jomo Cosmos and Moroka Swallows will lock horns at the Huntersfield Stadium in Johannesburg.

Bidvest Wits will travel to Durban for their match against Golden Arrows. Silver Stars will entertain Supersport United at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg while Amazulu and Maritzburg United will lock horns at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban.
