Rated the best race in South Africa by cyclist, the P&L Hardware Cycling Club from Louis Trichardt is once again gearing up to host the annual Powerade Kremetart One-Day Stage Race.
"I left with a feeling of receiving much more than the value of my entry fee. Well done and I will be back next year," was the comment from one of last year’s cyclists, Michael Partridge. He rated the race at 98% and helped the Powerade Kremetart achieve top race in SA status.
The sponsor of the Powerade Kremetart Cycle Race, to be hosted on June 9 this year, is Coca-Cola Fortune (Louis Trichardt) under the branding of Powerade. Throughout the world, Powerade is associated with premier sporting events and athletes. It was specifically developed by leading scientists at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a sports drink for top-performing athletes. The result? A sports drink that has been proven time and time again in performance and endurance trails.
The Coca-Cola Fortune sponsorship includes branding the event, event-co-ordination, medals and providing both refreshments and excitement on the day of the race. Coca-Cola will also sponsor the Kiddies Bibo Race, a first for the event.
But why the sponsorship?
"Well, because Coca-Cola Fortune recognizes its role in the community and sees sponsorships such as the Powerade Kremetart as a way of giving back to the community that in turn supports us," comes the answer from Coca-Cola Fortune.
