Nedzanani started the fight unimpressively, resulting in his losing the first two rounds. He found his rhythm in the third round and gave Jimenez a powerful left hook to the jaw.
Jimenez was bleeding profusely at the end of the seventh round.
Two judges handed in the scores of 120-107 while the third differed slightly with them with a 118-110 score.
In the main supporting bout, Nkosinathi Tshinavhe disappointed his home fans when he lost to Bongani Mahlangu in their bantamweight fight that was fought over six rounds.

Sipho "Delta" Mukhithi collected the majority of points at the expense of Lucas Mogane in their light middleweight fight that was fought over six rounds. Pfariso Neluvhalani was too strong for his opponent, Phathutshedzo Dongola, whom he beat on points.
The featherweight fight between Mbulaheni Mudau and John Mkhari ended with a victory for Mudau. Balanganani Ndou lost to Nestor Bolou while Mphatheleni Mphaphuli was beaten by Vule Tshikalange.
