The Dolphins FC are the champions for the Makonde Motor Spares Off-season Soccer Tournament. They beat Mudaswali United Brothers 3-1 in the finals of the tournament that was played at the Matatshe grounds on Saturday.

Four teams, Mudaswali United Brothers, Mulindathavha Ocean Swallows, The Dolphins and Tswera Hot Chilies, took part in the one-day tournament. In the first semifinal match that was played at 10:00, Mudaswali United Brothers beat Mulindathavha Ocean Swallows 4-2.

The winner was determined through penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw at the end of the regulated time. The second semifinal saw The Dolphins crushing Tswera Hot Chilies 2-1. The players who scored for Dolphins in the final are Livhuwani Madzwara, Ndamulelo "Shoes" Mungadi and the unstoppable Shane Tshirando.

The champions, The Dolphins FC, took home a cash prize of R800 and a floating trophy. The second-placed Mudaswali United Brothers were presented with a cash prize of R500. Teams that were booted out of the tournament in the semifinal stage, Tswera Hot Chilies and Mulindathavha Ocean Swallows, were each given a consolation prize of R250.
