GIYANI – Supersport United added to the woes of Dynamos when they beat them 2-1 in their Castle Premiership League match that was played at the Giyani Stadium on Sunday. The pride of Giyani were the first to find the net, despite the fact that they finally gave away the vital points.
As usual, Dynamos were displaying entertaining football during the first half but failed to convert their numerous chances into goals. Dynamos were the first to effect a change to their original lineup. They replaced Ntokozo Skhakhane with Adam Majola in the 25th minute.
Majola combined well with Sandile Ndlovu and Sbongakonke Ndlovu at the forefront. Sandile Ndlovu committed a big blunder when he shot straight to United’s stranded keeper, Calvin Marlin, in the 35th minute. Although Marlin was already well beaten, Ndlovu chose to turn and shoot straight to him instead of chipping the ball and tapping it into the empty net.
The Dynamos centre half, Innocent Mahlambi, was booked for tackling Sbusiso Mahlangu from behind. The Dynamos’ solitary goal came in the 43rd minute via Sandile Ndlovu. He received a neat pass from Sbongakone Ndlovu and sent in a ground cutter.
The home side did not have enough time to celebrate their goal. The opponents from Pretoria equalised a minute thereafter. Sbusiso Mahlangu forced his way through Dynamos’ defence and beat the keeper, Arthur Bartman, hands down.
Although Dynamos used all their replacement chances later in the game, this did not stop United from going back to Pretoria with the maximum points. Their winning goal was registered in the name of Tsweu Mokoro in the 67th minute. The result of the match means that Dynamos have so far won only one league match this season.
