Harvest day for Commodores players

Last Friday was harvest day for the players who were registered with Mangaya Living Commodores last season. Several players received awards during a ceremony that was held at the Mangaya Deliverance Christian Church.

Ndivhuwo "Mellow" Mulovhedzi was the recipient of the Player of the Season award. Mulovhedzi was also nominated the Players’ player of the season. He was the only player who received two awards during the ceremony.

Rudzani Nekhumbe took home the Top goal scorer award. He scored 11 goals last season. Nekhumbe was competing with Idani Nemukula and Ndivhuwo Mulovhedzi, who scored 9 goals apiece.

The Most disciplined player award went to Gerson Mutsivhuli.

Robert Masuwa was the recipient for the Most committed player, while Rudzani Singo was the winner for the Most improved player award. The Rookie of the season award was presented to the diminutive midfielder, Thogomelani Nethengwe.

The Fan of the season award was handed over to Thivhavhudzi Mutsivhuli.

Last Friday’s ceremony was attended by the mayor for the Mutale Local Municipality, Mr Lucas Manyuwa, and a number of ward councilors. Living Commodores were campaigning under the banner of Stream E of the Promotional League last season. They finished their league programme in the 10th position.
