Great Movers fined for assaulting referee

THOHOYANDOU – Heavy fines were imposed on several clubs affiliated to the Sibasa District Football Association (SIDFA) during the association's disciplinary committee meeting which was held in the league's offices on Sunday.

Malavuwe Great Movers assaulted a referee, Alex Ndou, during one of their league games and were ordered to pay a fine of R1 000, half of which has been suspended for the whole season, while R500 is payable within 30 days. Dimani Young Masters were fined an amount of R200 for causing the abandonment of their game against Masia Mighty Birds. Masia Mighty Birds were also fined an amount of R200 for fielding an improperly registered player in their game aganst Dimani Young Masters.

Not only were Tshamutshedzi Watersand fined for fielding an improperly registered player in their game against Tshidzini Ocean Swallows, but they also forfeited the points for the match in question to the opponents. A fine of R300 was imposed on them for that.

Luvhimbi Wanderers fielded an improperly registered player, Khamusi Netshivhera in their game against Vhutalu Mountain Rangers. They were ordered to pay a fine of R300 within a period of 30 days, apart from the fact that they have also forfeited the league points for that match to Vhutalu Mountain Rangers.

The player in question, Khamusi Netshivhera, has also been suspended from taking part in the activities for the association for the rest of the current season.
