Must win for Black Leopards

Black Leopards must win their National First Division League match against Witbank Spurs in order to remain hopeful of a place in the promotional play-offs at the end of the season. The two teams will battle it out for league points out at the Tshifulanani Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

Leopards are currently lying in the second position on the log. Giving away league points to Witbank Spurs is likely to make them forfeit their standing on the log, especially if the third-placed University of Pretoria FC collect the maximum points tomorrow.

The mood is good in the Leopards camp after winning their Nedbank Cup Top 32 match against Thanda Royal Zulu, whom they crushed 2-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium last Wednesday. Black Leopards have reason to believe that their match against Spurs will be a walk in the park.

Two of their key players, Rodney Ramagalela and Mahlatse Maake, who missed the Nedbank Cup match last week, will be available for selection tomorrow. Ramagalela was still nursing an injury which he sustained during their league match against Batau FC two weeks ago. Mahlatse Maake was serving his suspension after accumulating three yellow cards in previous matches. The first whistle is expected to be blown at 15:00.

In the other National First Division League matches for the Inland Stream, the pace setters, Jomo Cosmos, will be away to try their luck against FC AK at the Eldorado Park Stadium in Johannesburg. FC AK have a reputation of causing an upset to the so-called big guns. Dynamos will travel all the way to Kimberley. Their match against United FC will be played at the De Beers Stadium in the diamond city. University of Pretoria will rub shoulders with Batau FC at the Absa Tuks Stadium in Pretoria.
