Tshikhwani Stone Breakers were too strong for Madombidzha Celtic and beat them 2-0 in a Limpopo Dairy League match at the Tshikhwani grounds on Sunday.

Celtic were playing entertaining football during the first half, but failed to convert numerous chances into goals. Tshilidzi Sithari of Celtic should have scored in the opening minutes, but his shot hit the cross bar and bounced out of the field of play.

Celtic were the first to effect a change to their original line-up. They replaced Stanley Mukhuba with Gift Makananise in the 30th minute. Makananise combined well with Silas Rammbona and Robie Munonoka at the forefront.

Rammbona committed a big blunder when he shot straight at the stranded keeper of Breakers, Nthupheni Ramagoma, in the 37th minute. The centre half of Stone Breakers, Nndwakhulu Chepape, was booked for tackling Thabo Matumba from behind.

The home team´s first goal came in the 43rd minute via Morethe Lehlalo. He received a neat pass from Masala Tshinanga and sent in a ground cutter.

Their second goal was registered in the name of Prince Hlongwane in the 87th minute.
