Tshiozwi Dynamos were too strong for Nobela All Stars when they beat them 3-1 in their first match in the Safa Vhembe SAB league. It took place at the Samson Phophi Stadium in Vleifontein on Saturday.

Stars showed a spirit of commitment in the opening minutes, but their original stamina faded with time. Dynamos were the first to blow the trumpet. Their goal came in the 8th minute via Matodzi Maruli.

Vucy Mamburu of Dynamos and Lucky Tshidavhu of Stars were warned with cards for rough tackling. Dynamos missed two beautiful chances in a row. This led to their strikers´ losing their fighting spirit.

The visitors from Sinthumule found a second goal in the 39th minute. Mpho “Fire” Mavhandu went loose and beat the Stars keeper, Solomon Ramabulana. Stars nearly hit the target a little later, but their goal was disallowed on the basis that the scorer, Martin Nemavhidi, had been in an off-side position.

The scoreline was stil 2-0 when the referee blew the half-time whistle.

In the second half, Stars fought tirelessly in search of goals. They were rewarded when Sydney Munyai forced his way through the defence of Dynamos and scored. Dynamos´ third goal was an honour to Mashudu Nengovhela, who headed home after a free-kick was taken by Alugumi Mamugudubi.

After the goal, Dynamos were forced to effect a change to their starting line-up. They replaced their injured striker, Mashudu Nengovhela, with Tendani Ramabulana. Vucy Mamburu of Dynamos handled the ball inside of his penality area and the referee pointed to the white spot. Martin Nemavhidi converted the penalty.
