Makwarela Development collected maximum league points at the expense of Vondwe XI Bullets, whom they beat 2-1 in their SAB League at the FNB Makwarela Stadium on Saturday, 17 September.

Development´s strikers let them down by fumbling at the goal finish on countless occasions. Thomas Ndou of XI Bullets was booked for obstruction on Tshililo Mufamadi when the game was nine minutes old.

Development opened their account in the 19th minute. Collins Madlatati received a square pass from Patrick Muthivhi and took his time before unleashing from close range. The home side threatened to score again four minutes later. Murendi Ramathavha’s volley went wide, following a neat pass from Tshamano Muthige.

Vhuthu Siebe of Bullets went into the referee’s book, following a bad tackle on Xolile Lebelo in the 29th minute. Development increased the margin four minutes before the break. Thalukanyo Manne tried his luck from the 35-meter area. The keeper of Bullets, Robet Nemakonde, watched helplessly as the ball hit the back of the net.

Konanani Muhali of Bullets was brought down within the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Konanani Muhali reduced one from the penalty spot. Khuthadzo Musetha of Development was cautioned for wasting time, while his team mate, Collins Madlatati, was reprimanded for faking an injury later in the game.
