Tshiozwi Dynamos were crowned the new champions of the Get Together soccer tournament, after they beat Madombidzha Arsenal 1-0 in the final match played at Madombidzha on Sunday.

The match started at a fast pace, with both sides threatening to hit the target. Dynamos missed a sure goal in the 10th minute, when a header by Mashudu Nengovhela went a little wide. The match turned lukewarm towards the end of the first half. This was influenced by the fact that both sides were holding onto the ball for too long.

Dynamos scored at the end of the first half. Mpho Mavhandu received a neat pass from Matodzi Maruli and released a powerful shot from the edge of the box.

In the second half, Dynamos should have increased the scoreline, but Alugumi Mamugudubi tried his luck from outside the box and his shot missed the goal.

Dynamos introduced Aluwani Nedzamba for Mpho Mavhandu in the 65th minute, while Arsenal made three replacements late in the game.

Londy Musiamo of Arsenal was booked for a late tackle on Mashudu Mafunisa and Vhutshilo Mafunisa of Dynamos was booked after he obstructed Dakalo Nwanamidwa in the danger zone.

Dynamos went home with R1 500, while Madombidzha collected R500. The two teams who lost in the first round, Madombidzha Celtic and Madombidzha Try Again, received R150 each.
