Rapson Rambuwani finds new a spiritual home at Vhembe FM

Popular former Univen FM presenter, gospel singer, pastor, and Vhembe District councillor Rapson Rambuwani made a great impression during his first show on rival radio station Vhembe FM.

The well-known radio personality and legendary gospel musician, known for his earlier release “Mune Wanga”, took to the airwaves for the first time at Vhembe FM on Sunday, 7 April. He took over a Sunday religious programme, “Mvuseledzo”, from 06:00 to 09:00, the slot left vacant by the departure of Tendani “Lady T” Mushasha, who has since joined Phalaphala FM.

Rambuwani had been with Univen Radio for 18 years, hosting a religious programme, “Delight in the Lord”, which was broadcast on Sundays from 06:00 to 10:00, and “Nkho ya Lushaka” on Wednesdays from 13:00 to 14:00.

Rambuwani said he was delighted to be part of Vhembe FM’s new lineup. “My move to Vhembe FM is well calculated. One cannot stay at one organisation forever. I am exploring new avenues, and Vhembe FM could not have been a better choice. I will do my best to increase the number of listeners. I am looking forward to a good working relationship with the management and fellow presenters,” he said.

Vhembe FM station manager Mr. Mukhethwa Ravhuhali described the acquisition of Rambuwani as one of the best things to have happened at the station this year. “Rambuwani is a soldier and a crowd-puller, so having such an influential presenter on your team brings a lot. He will help us a lot in attaining our goals and remaining in the top position in Limpopo. He has been in the field for quite some time, and his knowledge of radio will add value to our station,” he said.
