A total of 153 clubs that were affiliated to the SAFA Vhembe MMK Administrators League last season will receive their league prizes during a ceremony that will be held at the Munakisi Hall in Muledane this evening (Friday).
About Rl million in cash prizes will be distributed to the clubs during the event.
According to the statement from the league, the overall champions, Mpheni Home Defenders, will receive R60 000 and a floating trophy. Madritdas FC, who finished in the second position in the champ of champs tournament, will take home R35 000.
A cheque of R30 000 is awaiting United Artists, who finished in the third spot, while the fourth-placed side, Anel Real Vikings, will receive R25 000. The other five teams that took part in the champ of champs tournament, Ngovhela XI Experience, Muziafera Blue Eagles, Mashamba Soccer Academy, Maelula New Mates and Dipeni FC, will each receive R15 000 during the ceremony.
Teams that finished in the second position in their respective streams, SMSA FC, Madandila Happy Boys, Rockers FC, Tshivhazwaulu Peace Makers, Magau United, Wayeni Sea Robbers, Mikhado Development, Berea FC and Sambandou United Professionals, will each receive R10 000. Teams that finished in the third to the eighth positions will receive cash prizes ranging from R8 000 down to R5 500.
The remaining teams will receive R3 000 each.
Clubs are expected to send one delegate to the ceremony, apart from Mpheni Home Defenders, the winners. Home Defenders will send 22 delegates to the ceremony.
