United Artists and Madridtas to clash

Sport  Date: 19 April 2024

With only three matches remaining, the fate of the teams affiliated with the Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League that will face relegation or secure a place in the promotional playoffs at the end of the season remains unclear. The teams will be engaged in crucial league matches this weekend. Five matches will be played on Friday afternoon, with the same number of fixtures scheduled for Saturday.

Sparks are expected to fly in the game between United Artists and Madridtas FC at the Malamulele Stadium on Saturday. United Artists and Madridtas are fast becoming forces to be reckoned with. Madridtas have managed to register two victories in a row. They defeated Giyani Happy Boys 2-1 at the Tshifudi Stadium last Wednesday, 10 April, and rose to the occasion to beat the title chasers, Emmanuel FC, by the same margin at the Malamulele Stadium last Saturday.

The Giyani derby between Giyani Happy Boys and Emmanuel FC will be played at the Xikukwani Stadium outside Giyani. Happy Boys are fighting for survival, while Emmanuel is closely contesting the league championship. Vondwe XI Bullets must beat Winners Park when they meet at the Tshifudi Stadium to restore their lost pride.

Munaca FC and Musina United will wrestle for points at the Musina Rugby Stadium, while Maruleng Celtic will host Mpheni Defenders at the Drakensberg Stadium outside Phalaborwa.

Friday’s fixtures are Ditlou FC vs. City Motors, Nkowankowa Continentals vs. Mokopane PJ Stars, Tubatse United vs. The Dolphins FC, and Sun Rise FC vs. Tzaneen United.
