Madombidzha Western Stars beat Benny’s Care 3-2 in their MMK Administrators' League match at the Tshiozwi grounds on Sunday.

Benny’s approached the game aggressively, with their strikers showing a great appetite for goals. Alugumi Mamugudubi of Stars was the first player to go into the referee’s book. He tackled Katlego Semenya from behind just outside the penalty box. Benny’s were leading by a goal at half time. Their goal came in the 35th minute. Khotso Mafishi scored with a header after a pass from Mutshidzi Nemaxwi.

Benny’s increased the margin in the 35th minute via Karabo Malebana. Stars did not lose hope, despite trailing by two goals. They reduced the margin when Lucky Masutha's attempt was too hot for keeper Thabelo Netutabvuni to handle. The half-time score was 2-1 in favour of Benny’s.

Benny’s effected a change to their starting line-up. They replaced Katlego Semenya with Zano Muleba in the third minute of the second half. Muleba formed a deadly combination with Khotso Mafishi at the forefront, but their moves were turn away by the rock-solid defence of Stars.

Phumudzo “Shakes” Mafukata scored the second and equaliser for Stars after a scramble within the box. Benny’s lost shape in the middle of the park after the equaliser, and Percy Munonoka of Stars was on target in the 84th minute, to bring the full-time score to 3-2. He finished off a rebound after Thabo Matuba tried his luck from outside the box.
