Three air force members die in crash

Three members of the Air Force Base Makhado died and six of their colleagues were injured last Thursday, May 26, when the minibus in which they were travelling overturned on the N1 freeway in the Mookgophong area.
The vehicle had been travelling from Pretoria with 11 soldiers on board. Two of the members escaped injuries.
The three deceased members were Sgt “Vis” van Heerden, Sgt Jennifer Mzunguzeli and Sgt Christopher Mathase.
Two of the injured members are still in hospital in Pretoria.
The Officer Commanding of Air Force Base Makhado, Brig Gen Chris Delport, this week conveyed their deepest and sincerest condolences to the families of the deceased.
