Can XI Bullets kill Dangerous Tigers?

Sport  Date: 11 August 2006

It will be another busy weekend for the 16 Sibasa District Football Association teams that are affiliated to the Globe Finance tournament. All matches will be played at the Khubvi Benjies grounds; three of the six matches will be played tomorrow, while the remaining three will be seen on Sunday.

Khubvi Peace Makers and Damani Powerline will be the first to enter the field of play tomorrow. The morale is high in the Peace Makers’ camp as they are still celebrating their 4-3 victory at the expense of Tshatshingo Potholes last weekend.

Damani Powerline were on a bye last weekend and that is likely to work against them, as they have not been playing competitive football for the past three weeks. The match is scheduled to start at 11:00. Mudaswali United Brothers will meet Khubvi Dangerous Darkies soon afterwards.

Mudaswali United Brothers were unlucky when they unexpectedly lost 0-1 to Khubvi African Stars last weekend. United Brothers, who were dictating the terms throughout the game, conceded a silly goal in the first half and failed to retaliate, despite numerous attempts.

Vondwe XI Bullets and Vondwe Dangerous Tigers will lock horns in a match that is scheduled to kick off at 15:00. XI Bullets were too strong for Tshidimbini Brave Lions, whom they brutally walloped 5-0 at the same venue last weekend.

Khubvi Feedas all Stars and Khubvi African Stars will fight on Sunday morning, starting at 11:00. The match that will follow thereafter will be between Mukula United Brothers and Tshidimbini Brave Lions. Mutale Vikinsg and Makonde Home Defenders will play at 15:00.
